At AmsterdamUpdate, we strive to provide high-quality digital products inspired by the culture, lifestyle, and creativity of Amsterdam. This Refund Policy explains when customers may request a refund or support, in accordance with EU consumer standards.


1. Refunds for Digital Products (eBooks, Video Courses, Downloads)

Due to the nature of digital content, all digital products are non-refundable once they have been accessed, opened, or downloaded.

This includes:

  • PDF / EPUB cookbooks
  • Video course lessons
  • Digital workbooks
  • Journaling templates
  • Any downloadable materials

However, a refund may be granted in exceptional cases:

βœ” The file is corrupted or cannot be opened
βœ” The customer accidentally purchased the product more than once
βœ” The product description does not match what was delivered
βœ” A technical error prevented access to the content

2. Refunds for Physical Merchandise (If applicable)

If AmsterdamUpdate offers physical products in the future (e.g., printed books, merchandise), EU customers will have the 14-day right of withdrawal from the moment they receive the item.

To qualify for a physical product return:

  • Item must be unused
  • Item must be undamaged
  • Original packaging should be intact
  • All accessories and manuals must be included

Non-returnable items:

❌ Personalized or printed-on-demand items
❌ Used bottles or opened hygienic products
❌ Items damaged by the customer
❌ Clearance or final sale items

Return shipping:

  • If the item is defective or incorrect β†’ AmsterdamUpdate covers the return shipping
  • If the customer changes their mind β†’ customer covers return shipping costs

3. Damaged or Faulty Products

If a digital product is inaccessible or damaged (file error), or you unexpectedly receive a faulty physical product, contact us within 48 hours of purchase or delivery.

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Description of the problem
  • Photo/screenshots if relevant

We will offer one of the following based on the case:

βœ” Corrective support
βœ” Partial refund
βœ” Full refund


4. Refund Processing Time

Refunds (if approved) are issued to the original payment method only.

Standard processing time:

  • Digital products: 3–5 business days
  • Physical products: 5–10 business days after receiving the return

A confirmation email will be sent once the refund is complete.


5. Exchanges

Digital products cannot be exchanged once delivered.
Physical product exchanges are possible only in cases of:

  • manufacturing defects
  • wrong item shipped
